SHERIA

MATTIS

Comedian & Writer

ABOUT

Sheria Mattis, who is definitely not writing in the third person, is your regular, average, working-class, private-school educated, hood, queer, K-pop loving, awkward Black girl next door. Born and bred in Bed Stuy Brooklyn, Sheria Mattis is an NYC stand up comedian to watch out for. Sheria’s comedy is always unapologetically Black, queer, fun, raunchy, and honest. She talks about body positivity, fibroids, sexuality, and gentrification in a way that makes any audience come away feeling informed and exhausted from laughter.

Sheria is an award-winning comedian, writer, and actress, and has written for Reductress, Netflix is a Joke, Leslie Jones, Fran Drescher, and Abby Terkuhle. She is a Funny Women Awards Semi-finalist, a Yaass Queer Comedy Festival Finalist, a Comedy Mob Stand Up NY Finalist, and was a Standup NBC. She also produces and hosts a queer/femme/bipoc comedy show called Loud Bitch Comedy.

What people are saying about Sheria:

Sheria is so funny and cool and sexy. She smells like cocoa butter and talent. What an actual goddess.
